Child Protection and Security Policy

Policy
Children have the right to be protected from all forms of abuse and harm
at all times and in all situations. Mansfield District Council, Singles’
Outdoor Club Committee recognise this and that Child Protection is the
responsibility of every Adult.
Children have the right to be respected and to express their views on
any issue or decisions affecting them.
Should Mansfield District Council and Singles’ Outdoor Club Organisers
have any suspicion about a child’s physical, sexual or emotional
well being; will take action in accordance with the Mansfield’s
Councils and Singles’ Outdoor Clubs Child Protection Policy.
Procedures for Water Meadows Naturist Event
General
1. A child is anyone under the age of 18 years
2. Children can not attend any event unaccompanied
3. SOC will appoint a Child Protection Officer, enhanced CRB checks will
apply (or someone with this responsibility)
4. The Child Protection Officer on behalf of Singles’ Outdoor Club
will sign to say that they will adhere to the Singles’ Outdoor Club
Policy.
5. We do not investigate Child Protection concerns or suspicions, we
report all in accordance with Mansfield District Councils and Singles’
Outdoor Clubs Child Protection Policy
6. The Child Protection Officer will undertake and attend Child Protection
Training provided by LSGCB
7. The Child Protection Officer will be responsible for;
Monitoring and recording concerns
Notifying the Management of Water Meadows of any such incidents who can
then making referrals to Social Services and/or Police without delay
8. Entry to Water Meadows Naturist Events is for card-carrying members
of SOC-WMNSC only.
Membership of SOC-WMNSC is open to card-carrying members of British Naturism,
bona fide Naturist Club and invited guests.
Annual membership cards of SOC-WMNSC must be signed and valid for the
event.
9. By becoming a member of SOC-WMNSC the member will have confirmed that
they are:-
Not on the Sexual Offenders Register.
They are not barred from any naturist event or organisation in respect
of child related issues.
10. Membership is confidential. Requests for information may be provided
to law enforcement agencies or Social Services for Child Protection or
Vulnerable Adult investigation and or concerns
11. Information about undesirable characters may be shared with other
leisure facilities to protect children and vulnerable adults, if justified
and deemed necessary.
At The Pool
12. All Adults must be a member and have followed the procedures above.
(Or a Personal Guest and therefore have confirmed all of the above).
13. Staff, Singles’ Outdoor Club officials will be vigilant and
we ask everyone else to do the same.
14. No photography of Children whether the Child is clothed or not. All
photography would require prior permission for Mansfield District Council,
Singles’ Outdoor Club and everyone in the picture.
15. Any reporters wishing to enter must seek prior permission from Mansfield
District Council and Singles’ Outdoor Club and sign privacy and
photography undertakings.
16. A summary of Mansfield District Council Procedures and Singles’
Outdoor Club Agreement will be displayed on the Club and Leisure Facility
Notice Board.
17. Singles’ Outdoor Club will promote the agreement and the Child
Protection and Vulnerable Adults Policy on all their advertisements including
the Web Site.
18. The Child Protection Officer acting for SOC-WMNSC events will be
David Broome (The SOC Event Organiser) until further notice.
Review
This policy and our arrangements for the Naturist Swim will be annually
reviewed by the Mansfield Councils Child Protection Officer and Singles’
Outdoor Club.
